Which tools can I use to promote my affiliate marketing programs?
I have have noted that earning income using affiliate marketing programs takes time as it is not easy to rank high quickly on search engines. The fast methods seem to be expensive.

I have been involved in the internet affiliate marketing business for several years now. Please believe me when I say there are no quick ways to build lists or attract new affiliates. It takes time and perseverance. It can be very frustrating at times. I have spent hours and hours trying to promote different Affiliate Programs and attract new affiliates. The biggest disappointments are after working hard to attract new affiliates is to find that only about 5% of them are willing to work at the particular program. The other 95% just sit back and wait for you to do the work for them. If the particular program requires that they have to pay a fee then your recruiting efforts are mostly for naught.
The people that make big bucks in the affiliate marketing business are those that invest large amounts of money in advertising and pay per click marketing. All these hypes that we see everyday about joining super list building programs, video courses, fantastic Affiliate Programs and all the other tremendous offers is just to get our money. They expect people like us to invest in these programs and fail. After failing most of us move onto another program that looks unbelievable and fail again. That’s how THEY make their big bucks.
I am not saying that you cannot make money with affiliate marketing. There are some good programs out there that will work for the right people with the right skills and who are willing to invest the time and money. I will keep trying though. Recently I have gotten interested in the social networking aspect of the Internet Marketing. Namely Twitter. Twitter is quick, easy and fun place to meet and exchange information and ideas and you can actually make a few bucks.
I have searched out some great tools and Ebooks that can help attract interested followers! Most of them are free.

I want reputable companies like Clickbank. I would especially want to market magazines of all sort. Also if you know of magazines I can promote directly from the publisher the better. I prefer payment via paypal. Where do I get such products or programs with them?

Yes, we’re doing quite well with Affiliate Programs, earning us thousands per month (in addition to our online advertising revenues)
There are several factors to achieving success with affiliate programs:
1. Choose affiliate programs that your visitors would be interested in. The program should fit with the overall theme of your site and something your users would want. You can’t achieve much success with an affiliate program for hotels if your website is about dogs.
2. Promote your affiliate programs. Using emails to banners to text links are ok. But the best way is through content — write something about how effective the products/services are. Tell your audiences that these are the best tools for them and why.
3. Location, location, location. Don’t just put your affiliate program links on one spot of your website, such as the homepage. Visitors don’t always come through your homepage – and these people will not likely see the affiliates you are promoting. If you can, put them on almost every page of your website. The more visible the affiliate program is, the more chances you can get a sale
